Joaquin Ram turned Blinn Buccaneer ‘owns the circle’

It took six Blinn College freshmen two and a half seasons to surpass what Chloee Mason did in her first year as a Buccaneer. By the time the Joaquin High School graduate debut campaign reached a close, her view of the softball diamond was understandable.

Panola College offering kids camps this summer

Panola College and the Department of Workforce and Continuing Education will offer a variety of camps this summer, some on the Center campus, for kids ages 5 and up. The camps will begin June 5 and take place throughout the months of June and July.

Shelbyville High School Senior, Tim Mason, competed at the Regional Tennis Tournament this week and finished 3rd closing out his tennis career at Shelbyville. Although it was not the finish we were hoping for he had a great showing.

CENTER Softball—The Center Lady Roughriders fell 4-2 to the Gilmer on Tuesday, April 4. After two innings the game remained scoreless. Gilmer finally had runners cross the plate in the third giving them a 3-0 advantage.

CENTER Softball—The Center Lady Roughriders fell 7-5 to the Carthage Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 28. Center provided a strong showing in the final two innings after remaining scoreless through the first five. Unfortunately, their comeback attempt was cut short.

Shelbyville golfers claim district title

The Shelbyville High School Golf Team competed March 27 at Center Country Club and clinched a second straight District 23 Championship. They compete April 19 and 20 in Jacksonville at the Regional 2A Championships.
