Last Thursday, the Joaquin Rams traveled to Beckville for their second game of the season. Unfortunately, Joaquin’s record has fallen to 0-2 after a 60-27 loss at the hands of the Bearcats. Beckville’s season began with a 50-13 beating from the Timpson Bears the week prior.

The Joaquin Rams fell short in their season opener with the Arp Tigers. After a full four-quarters of play, the Tigers took the victory 22-6. Joaquin is in what could be considered a rebuilding year following the departure of last year’s senior class.

The Shelbyville Dragons are 1-0 after a dominant 43-12 victory over the Alto Yellowjackets. Shelbyville hosted Alto for their season opener despite scorching hot temperatures and a pair of nearby wildfires.

The Tigers of Tenaha faced adversity in their first game of the season and overcome it. After falling behind early to the West Sabine Tigers, Tenaha secured a come-frombehind victory in the fourth quarter by refusing to quit in their week one matchup.
