Shelbyville sweeps state tournament

The Texas DYB/DYS State tournament was held in Longview, July 5th & 6th. It was a best two out of three North vs South tournament to be held over two days. The Shelbyville Dragons came in on fire and came out on top on Day 1 of the tournament.

TPWD deer leader projecting banner hunting season statewide amid improved habitat conditions

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department white-tailed deer program leader Blaise Korsekwa recently unveiled his 2025-26 deer hunting forecast. Things are looking good all around the state.No surprise there. Even in a mediocre season, Texas deer hunting is generally way better than most other states.
