Timpson makes short work of Joaquin

Friday night was one to forget for the Joaquin Rams as they traveled to Timpson and were left scoreless after four quarters. Timpson made short work of Joaquin to the tune of a 69-0 shutout. The Bears are a force to be reckoned with boasting multiple D1 prospects and a real chance at a state title this year.

Tigers roll past Cushing

The Tenaha Tigers hosted the Cushing Bearkats last Saturday at their homecoming game for their third district game of the season. Tenaha earned a 28-7 win over the Bearkats to remain undefeated in district play.

Dragons win as time expires

Despite a 14-0 deficit at halftime, the Shelbyville Dragons roared back to earn a win over the San Augustine Wolves. Heading into this matchup, Shelbyville was seeking a way to adjust after losing junior quarterback DJ Barnes.

Joaquin stumbles at the finish line

Things went from bad to worse for the Joaquin Rams Friday night. They have struggled mightily this season adding only one victory to the win column thus far with a 1-6 overall record. The bright side headed into their homecoming matchup with San Augustine was that despite the rough start, Joaquin still controlled their own destiny moving forward. A win over the Wolves and a win over the West Sabine Tigers would ensure their place in the post season.

Second half push elevates Dragons to victory

With the playoff race heating up, the Shelbyville Dragons are one step closer to securing a place in the postseason. The Dragons are currently resting at 4-2 overall record and a 2-1 district record.

Tenaha too much for Alto

The Tenaha Tigers are now 3-0 in district play after defeating the Alto Yellowjackets. Alto’s season has been abysmal with an 0-8 record thus far. Tenaha cruised to a 55-20 victory led by junior quarterback Brikelian Kenney.

Joaquin gets one in the win column

After seven weeks of football, the Joaquin Rams have finally put a victory in the win column. The Rams have struggled mightily this year as demonstrated by their current record of 1-5. Despite a less-than-stellar first half of the season, the Rams have kept their playoff hopes alive with their recent win over the Grapeland Sandies.
