CHS Scholarship Night is May 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

CENTER Softball—The Center Lady Roughriders fell 4-2 to the Gilmer on Tuesday, April 4. After two innings the game remained scoreless. Gilmer finally had runners cross the plate in the third giving them a 3-0 advantage. Center attempted to stage a comeback, but the Lady Roughriders were unable to close the gap.

CENTER Softball—The Center Lady Roughriders fell 7-5 to the Carthage Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 28. Center provided a strong showing in the final two innings after remaining scoreless through the first five. Unfortunately, their comeback attempt was cut short.

The Shelbyville High School Golf Team competed March 27 at Center Country Club and clinched a second straight District 23 Championship. They compete April 19 and 20 in Jacksonville at the Regional 2A Championships. Collin Lloyd shot a 77 and took first place, Justin Raymond shot a 90 and took second place,Tucker Clark shot a 106,and Kason Parker shot a 114.Addison Lloyd shot a 125 taking third place overall. She will compete at the Regional Tournament in Jacksonville April 17 and 18.

CENTER Softball — The Center Lady Roughriders battled through back-toback losses this past week. On Tuesday, they met the Carthage Lady Bulldogs in an away game. Center entered the top of the seventh trailing 7-2. The Lady Roughriders tried to mount a comeback, but were cut short with a final score of 7-5.

Shelbyville High School University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitors captured the District Championship at the District 23AA UIL Academic Spring Meet March 22 at Stephen F. Austin State University.
