After seven weeks of football, the Joaquin Rams have finally put a victory in the win column. The Rams have struggled mightily this year as demonstrated by their current record of 1-5.

The Tenaha Tigers traveled to Carlisle last Friday night to face the Indians in their first district match to date. The Tigers outlasted Carlisle 47-30 moving the Tigers to an overall record of 4-2 Junior quarterback Brikelian Kenney completed six passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns.

The Joaquin Rams are struggling this season. They now find themselves on the back foot with a district record of 0-2 and an overall record of 0-5. The Rams battled the Garrison Bulldogs last Friday night who, by all accounts, appear to be poised to make a deep playoff run.

Center's Homecoming parade rolled through town Saturday afternoon led by the Center High School Roughrider marching band. A total of 27 queens, duchesses, campus club sweethearts, and several class floats were entered.

The district stage of football season is now in full swing. Teams have begun battling it out with their district opponents to determine playoff seeding. With a limited number of playoff spots available to each district, every game counts from this point forward.
