Drove of turkeys down ArcadiaAlbert Lilly of Arcadia said, “I wonder how long it’s been since anyone in Shelby County has seen a sight like I saw Saturday morning. I was looking out the window on one side of my house and counted a drove of 15 wild turkeys pass by.

I’ve covered the Tenaha city council meetings for the last year, and every meeting has seen everything from low-key drama all the way up to chaos verging on a riot. And that type of behavior has been going on since before I started covering the meetings.

The church and its volunteers help distribute the Food Bank produce every fourth Friday of the month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. If you are interested, be sure to mark your calendars and stop by the First Baptist Church in Center next month on Friday, Sept. 26. Approving a long-term solution for the city’s water was the main action item at the Timpson City Council meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 19.During the meeting, E3 Design Build Contractors presented a detailed water quality infrastructure plan.
