Whenever your church has a revival, VBS, anniversary or any other special upcoming event submit it to the Light and Champion Church Calendar to help get the word out. Submit your event by 12 p.m. on Tuesday and we will post it in that week’s edition of the Light and Champion.

When was the last time that you woke up on a Sunday morning and as you got ready for church, you thought of a hundred reasons to not attend that morning? You go to Sunday School and the lesson is on “Joy and Happiness.” Because you are not feeling joyful or happy, a sense of dread comes over you.

Council raises rental rates, solicits debris clean up bids

Setting new rental rates for the city’s community building and requesting bids for debris clean up were the main action items of the Timpson city council at its April 21 meeting.
