Grill Fest 2023 Champions Announced

Chase-N-Moore Smoke from Friendswood, Texas with head cook, Shawn Moore, took the title of Grand Champion this year at the 2023 Annual Grill Fest. Squeals on Wheels from Bardwell, Texas with head cook David Lefler, took Reserve Grand Champion.

Cook teams from Texas and Louisiana started competing for prize money today at the Annual Grill Fest Presented by Farmers State Bank at the Shelby County Expo Center on Highway 7 East. Cooking started Friday evening along with the 42 Tournament and Washer Pitching Tournament.

WHAT’S COOKIN’ Grill Fest fires up Friday and Saturday

    Cook teams from Texas and Louisiana will be competing for prize money this weekend at the annual Grill Fest at the Shelby County Expo Center on Highway 7 East. And, there is still time to enter.   Cooking starts Friday evening along with the 42 Tournament and Washer Pitching Tournament.

Join the Fun at Grill Fest next weekend, March 31 and April 1. In addition to sampling great barbeque, attendees can participate in a 42 Tournament and a Washer Pitching Tournament, both sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank. Both events will be held Friday evening this year.

Fire up your grills, start working on your bean recipes and start mastering your signature drink. There is a $10 registration fee for the beans, “open food” category and beverage categories. Winner takes the jackpot. New this year is the “Open Food” category.
