The Annual Poultry Festival Chicken Fajita Lunch, sponsored by East Texas Poultry Supply will be on Wednesday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Center Fire Department. According to Chairman Bryan Wages, the lunch includes two chicken fajitas, chips, salsa and a drink for $8.

World War II came to an end with the formal surrender of the Japanese on September 2, 1945 aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay and this day has become known as VJ Day (Victory over Japan) Day.

The Center High School Class of 1967 will have a reunion during Center Homecoming Weekend on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, 2023. Events planned for the Class of ’67 are: Friday: pre-game 7:00 P.M., football game at 7:30 P.M. followed by snacks at Rancho Grande at 8:30 P.M.
