Shelbyville’s Emily Pharris, heading for the finish line (above) finished first in the UIL 2A girls two-mile run at the Cross Country State Championships Nov. 4-5 at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. Her time winning time was 12:32.20. She became the pacesetter for the field of runners from the start and finished first. Top 10 results for the 2A girls two mile run finals were: (1) Emily Pharris from Shelbyville at 12:32.20; (2) Cassity Turner from Cross Roads at 12:40.00; (3) Emma Walterscheid from Muenster at 12:43.70 (4) Cameron Belcher from Windthorst at 12:45.60; (5) Isabella Jaime from Farwell at 12:46.30 (6) Eleana Campos from Freer at 12:51.90; (7) Jackie Earley from Johnson City LBJ at 12:54.10; (8) Emma Krebs from Muenster at 12:59.00; (9) Anallely Moreno from Plains at 13:00.50; and (10.)
