Shelbyville’s Emily Pharris, heading for the finish line (above) finished first in the UIL 2A girls two-mile run at the Cross Country State Championships Nov. 4-5 at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. Her time winning time was 12:32.20. She became the pacesetter for the field of runners from the start and finished first.
