Lions Club ‘fun raiser’ golf tournament results

The Center Noon Lions Club fundraiser golf tournament Monday, May 1 was not only successful in raising money for the many community projects the local civic club supports, but reportedly also lots of fun.

The tournament was played under scrutiny of the Center Noon Lions Club tournament committee rules and awards made by the final committee decision which typically has nothing to do with team scores Results reported this week by Lion Buster Bounds were team winners (weighted draw) First Place High Roller Group, Watson & Sons Funeral Home, and Windham Family Dental. It wasn’t clear at press time whether all of these teams were first place winners or just the first one on the list.

Participating teams included Shelby Savings Bank Team 1 (Reed Grant, Joe Whittlesey, Clay Ihlo, Josh Jones); Shelby Savings Bank Team 2 (Rick Chumlee, Brett Clark, Howell Howard, Easton Heigley), Windham Family Dental (Jerry Pinkston, Ryan Bagley, Danny Windham, Brent Meaux); Watson & Sons Funeral Home (Pug Hughes, Stephen Watson, Lucas Harbison, Heath Harbison); High Roller Group (Josh McAdams, Dustin Bailey, Brett Scarber, Josh Payne); Farm Bureau (Ryan Pinkston, Brent Watson, Shane Ray, Roy Peace); Farmers State Bank (Jason Balkcom, Brian Dean, Dan O’Rear, Lance Lawson); East Texas Poultry (Rob Coe, Kevin Quick, Bobby Pigg, Payne Howard, John Howard).

A good time was had by all, according to Bounds, who provided the photos and explanation, such that it is, of the Lions Club Golf Tournament winner selection process.

The Center Noon Lions Club expressed their thanks to the generous event sponsors, High Roller Group, Shelby Savings Bank, Farmers State Bank, and Tyson Foods of Center.
