CENTER Softball

The Center Lady Roughriders faced two setbacks last week. The first came at the hands of the Logansport Lady Tigers. After the first inning, the teams were tied at a score of 3-3. Center struggled offensively and defensively in the following two innings before getting their feet back underneath them in the fourth. Center would ultimately fall 20-13.

Later in the week, Center squared off against Hudson. Hudson built an early lead and never looked back taking a 16-3 victory over the Lady Roughriders.

Baseball

The Center Roughriders fell to the Henderson Lions 10-3. Center built up a 3-2 lead after three innings, but was unable to cross the plate beyond that point.

The Riders ended their week with a tough 10-0 loss to Spring Hill.

JOAQUIN Softball

The Lady Rams traveled to Shelbyville Tuesday, March 14 where they picked up an 8-4 victory over the lady Dragons. Joaquin was led at the plate by Webb who finished the game with six. Bagley handled pitching duties for the complete seven innings.

Baseball

Meanwhile the Rams faced off against the Garrison Bulldogs in back-to-back games last week. At home on Tuesday, Joaquin secured a 5-2 win over the Bulldogs. Maddox Hutchins led the team with 3 RBIs. Joaquin would then travel to Garrison on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Rams were unable to come away with a win on the road. Garrison bounced back with a 5-1 win.

SHELBYVILLE Softball

As previously mentioned, the Lady Dragons faced the Joaquin Lady Rams and lost 8-4 on Tuesday of last week. Shelbyville ended their week on a high note with a 13-3 victory over the Garrison Lady Bulldogs. K. Snell finished with three RBIs.

Baseball

Last week, Shelbyville took back-to-back victories over the Martinsville Pirates. In Martinsville on Tuesday, the Dragons battled back after falling behind early. By the end of the fourth inning, Shelbyville faced an 11-3 deficit. The Dragons battled back with a massive eight-run inning at the top of the sixth. When the dust settled, Shelbyville earned a 14-11 win.

Shelbyville faired much better at home while facing the Pirates on Friday. The Dragons won 13-1 after the game was called following the top of the fifth inning.
