The Center Roughriders took on the Liberty-Eylau Leopards at Hallsville in the first week of playoffs for the 2022 Texas high school season and came away with the victory, 67-21.

In a cold and wet Friday night contest, Kaden Dixon accounted for about three-fourths of the Riders yardage and more than half of the scoring with 409 rushing yards (one for 89 yards), a 65-yard kickoff return, six touchdowns, and one two-point conversion.

Timothy Davis was second with 73 rushing yards (longest 29 yards) and two touchdowns. Omar Preston booked 21 yards on the ground (longest nine yards), and Jake Morris had a net total of 19 yards via 21 yards in pass receptions minus a two-yard loss rushing. Cody Adkinson picked up eight yards rushing (longest six yards), Jamarion “Mar Mar” Evans six yards in pass receptions, Jakeyvius Polk five yards with a kickoff return, Tre McGee with a four-yard kickoff return, Colby Lout with a three-yard pass reception and one touchdown, and Timothy Johnson with a two-yard punt return.

Quarterback Emonte “Criss” Cross completed three of seven passes for 30 yards and scored one touchdown. He threw no interceptions, and his longest pass completion was 21 yards.

Tre McGee added two points with a safety, Carlos Hernandez added four points following touchdowns, Timothy Davis scored points via touchdown conversions, and Leo Galvan’s kick was good for one touchdown conversion point.
