Center ISD's Emonte "Cash" Cross signs to University of Lamar
Center High School's Emonte "Cash" Cross signed his National Letter of Intent to Lamar University on Wednesday, December 20.
"Cash has excelled in many different things," said Coach Richard Meeks. "The mark he has left on the program is phenomenal. On top of that, the type of young man Cash is, is a joy to coach."
Coach Meeks listed several of Cash's records during Wednesday's signing. Emonte "Cash" Cross will be leaving Center High School as the career leader in touchdown passes, passing yards, completions, attempts and plenty other single season records.
"For him to be able to sign with Lamar and continue his football career is awesome," said Meeks. "We will be excited to watch and continue to support - and be the support system he needs to continue to excel."
Before signing his letter of intent to Lamar, Meeks ended with a thank you to Cash.
"Thank you, Cash, for what you have done for our program and helping lay the foundation for future players."
