All-District player awards for CHS girls basketball

Congratulations to the District Champion girls basketball team on several selection for all-district player awards.

Honors included Most Valuable Player Lanaijha Johnson, Newcomer of the Year Journee Smith, First Team Team All-District Gabrielle Whisenant, Second Team Team, All-District Ed’neeuna Barnes and Kylie Hubbard, and Honorable Mention Ciara Jones.

The Academic All-District honorees were Kylie Hubbard, Gabrielle Whisenant, Journee Smith, Tazirah Hill, and Lanaija Johnson.

Named Coach of the Year was Kevin Smith.
