The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) regular monthly meeting was Saturday, July 9 at the First Methodist Church in Center. A workshop on “Tips and Techniques on How to Photograph Water in Motion” was conducted in preparation for next month’s challenge.

The theme for the July Challenge photographs submitted by members for voting and critique was “Night Photography.”

Winners were First Place Favorite, Bobbie J Wood, “God’s Fireworks;” Second Place Favorite, Billie F. Jones, “Church and Supermoon;” Third Place Favorite tie, Janice Carter, “Moon with Blue Sky;” Third Place Favorite tie, Lawrence Davis, “Jordan 2023;” and Third Place Favorite tie, Summer Koltonski, “Moonlight Fireworks.”

The PWPS goal is to help anyone become a better photographer and provide an opportunity to meet others who share a passion for photography by featuring programs and activities with information and instruction for all skill levels in an environment of support and cooperation.

Visitors are always welcome to attend meetings.
