Wonnell Brown, 96, of Lufkin passed away on March 18, 2024, in Lufkin. She was born on January 13, 1928, in Center, Texas, to the late Vonn Warr and Mecie Francis (Lucas) Warr.
Graveside services were held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Short Cemetery.
Wonnell was raised in Shelby County. She enjoyed spending time with her children, and family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kind, compassionate care for others was demonstrated. Wonnell enjoyed quilting, hand embroidery, reading, and tending to her fur babies.
She is survived by her sons, Don Brown, Ronald Gammage and wife Vicki.
Daughters, Donna Brown Lloyd and Melody Trahan Brothers, Lloyd Warr and Tony Warr and wife Georgia Half-sister, Francis Warr.
Sister-in-laws, Joe Warr and Maudie Warr Grandchildren, Donald Lloyd, Hope McCormick, Michael Trahan.
Great-grandchildren, Trinity Garmin, Dane Garmin, Scott Orman Lloyd, Kylee Jean Lloyd, Alex Wayne Lloyd, Mindalynn Danielle Lloyd.
Numerous nieces and nephews. Wonnell is preceded in death by Mecie and Vonn Warr; brothers, James Warr, Zelmo Warr and wife Elsie, Elroy Warr and wife Uenice, Harold Warr; and sister, Mae Warr.
