Wilma Laverne Jamison, 84, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away on March 12, 2024, surrounded by loved ones in San Augustine, Texas. She was born on February 22, 1940, in San Augustine to the late Floyd Hardy and Tassie (Chumley) Hardy. Visitation was held Saturday, March 16, 2024, prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mangum Funeral Home in Center. Graveside service was held after visitation with Bro. Michael McArthur officiating.

Wilma was raised in San Augustine. She graduated from San Augustine High School. She received her cosmetology license and worked for over 50 years doing what she loved, styling hair. Wilma loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with them.

She also loved drawing and painting, working in her flower beds and gardening. She worked for many years creating special arrangements at Kroger’s in the floral department. She will always be remembered as a hardworking, kind, and compassionate person.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Jamison and wife Allyson, Todd Jamison and wife Donna, and Scotty Jamison and wife Pam.

Grandchildren, Riley Jamison, Ethan Jamison and wife Maria, Javey Jamison and wife Jamie, Lance Jamison, Leigh Martin and wife Whitney, Heather McDonald and husband Grant, Lindsey Moore and husband Jimmy.

Great-grandchildren Alana Harville and husband Caleb, Hannah Kyle and husband Patrick, Bradley Jamison, Caleb Jamison, Douglas Martin, Eden Martin, Woodrow Martin, Luke Martin, Shade McDonald, Levi McDonald, Walker McDonald, Casen Moore, Cainen Moore Great-great grandchildren, Avery McKelvey, Jaxon Kyle. Wilma is preceded in death by her loving husband, J.V. Jamison; parents, Floyd and Tassie Hardy; brothers, Pat Hardy, John Earl Green; sisters, Louise Hillyer, Dora Lee Bennefield, and Abby Ruth Smith.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Colonial Pines Memory Care Unit for the exceptional care provided during her stay, and to Affinity Hospice especially, Rai, Mallory, Tristin, and DeeDee for their love and compassionate care. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers serving will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
