Billie Mae Williams, age 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, in Nacogdoches. She was born July 13, 1945, in Trinity, Texas.

In her early years, Billie attended Livingston Elementary. From junior high through high school, she attended Central Heights School and graduated in 1963 as Valedictorian of her class. Billie married the love of her life, Charles “Buster” Williams at 16 years of age on June 30, 1962. In her early years, she was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker.

Billie loved being home with her family and raising her three young sons, Dwayne, Doyle, and Darrell. Once her children started school, she began working in the office at Indian River Chicken Farm. Her next job and lifetime career was at Holly Farms, now known as Tyson Foods, in administrative and office positions. Billie retired from Tyson Foods at the age of 63. In retirement, she enjoyed time with Buster and family and friends, and attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. During this time, her primary focus was on loving, raising, and caring for her youngest son, London. She enjoyed spending time with him. Billie was proud that London enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was especially proud to be able to raise him in her later years and see him graduate and grow into a young man.

Music was, and still is, a passion for the Williams family. Buster and Billie started this pass time, and each had wonderful musical talent that they taught and passed down to their sons Dwayne, Doyle, and Darrell. Countless hours and priceless memories were made playing and singing music with their boys. Billie had a beautiful singing voice!

She loved quality time spent with loved ones. Family and friends were the focus of her life.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles “Buster” Williams; sister, Patsy Smith Bramley; her father, William L. Smith; mother, Laura Mae Mc-Farland Barrett; and stepfather, E.M. Barrett.

She is survived by her sister, Deborah Barrett Cotton and husband Reggie; sons, Dwayne Williams and wife Paula, Doyle Williams and wife Renee, Darrell Williams and wife Lynne, and London Williams; stepsister, Joy Wilson and husband Bubba; grandchildren, Melissa Williams, Steven Williams, Sydney Williams, Wade Williams, Keilan Williams, Ian Williams, Chris Lewis, Andrew Lewis, and Brandon Lewis; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
