Shakayla Shambrail Caraway, 23, of Logansport, La., passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, in Lufkin.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at Abundant Love Ministries in Center with Rev. Marlin Cloudy officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Grand Cane, La. Repass will be held at Abundant Love Ministries in Center.
Born March 7, 2000, in Longview, Texas, Shakayla is the daughter of Junior Caraway and Carla Edwards Caraway. She was famous for her hair, makeup, and fashion. Shakayla was a member of Abundant Love Ministries in Center.
She is survived by her parents, Carla Caraway of Logansport, Junior Caraway of Logansport, and Thelma West of Longview; son, Kyrie Ervin Hill of Logansport; siblings, Corderius Caraway of Logansport, Isaiah Caraway of Logansport, Jeremy Edwards of Logansport, Melvin Martin of Logansport, Chris Caraway of Logansport, Trey Caraway of Logansport, Joemorian Caraway of Logansport, Jurrien Caraway of Logansport, Crystal Caraway of Logansport, Shenika Caraway of Logansport, and Shasta Caraway of Logansport; grandmother, Brenda Bissic of Logansport, a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
Preceded in death by grandmother, Betty Ann Head.
