Ruby Lozetta Mae Holt

Ruby Lozetta Mae Holt, 98, of Tenaha, Texas, passed away on October 29, 2022, in Carthage, Texas. She was born on July 27, 1924, in Tampa, Florida, to the late John A. Muench and Margaret Clemons Muench.

Funeral service was held at Mangum Funeral Home, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 2pm with Rev. Robert Ortigo officiating. Interment followed at Bradley Springs Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas.

Visitation was held prior to the service on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, beginning at 1PM until service time at Mangum Funeral Home.

Ruby was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She graduated from high school and met the love of her life, Jodie Holt, through a friend that introduced them. The two were married over 48 years before his passing in 1991. They made their home in Shelby County raising 4 wonderful children. Ruby enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, and sewing. She also enjoyed the outdoors working in her flower gardens, and gardening. Ruby enjoyed every moment she spent with family and friends. She was a lifelong member of First Methodist Church Tenaha.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Daniel Holt and wife Margaret, Kelly Kris Holt; daughters, Monnie Cole and husband John, Judy Moore; grandchildren, Michael Laurin Cole, Stephen Morgan Cole and wife Sasha, Patrick Sean Cole, Mark Lynn Moore and wife Dana, Wendy Jarred, Jason Holt and wife Crystal, Michelle Savage and husband Scott; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Ruby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jodie Ezra Holt; parents, John and Margaret Muench; son in law, Larry G. Moore; grandson, Jerry Lynn Moore; and seven brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers serving will be Patrick Cole, Jason Holt, Tristen Moore, Scott Savage, Jack Holt, and Griffin Holt.
