Lisa Ann Goings

Lisa Goings, age 65 of Blountsville, Ala., passed away on September 28, 2023, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Lewis and husband Jason of Blountsville, Ala.; son, Cory Baxley and wife Brandy of Blountsville, Ala.; mother, Shirley Willoughby of Blountsville, Ala. (originally Center, Texas); siblings, Timothy Goings of Houston, Texas, and Tommie Harmel, Jr. of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, Caley Baxley, Gabriel Baxley, Chloe Lewis and Garrett Lewis.

Lisa grew up in Houston, later moving to Center and subsequently to Blountsville, Ala., with her children and grandchildren. She was a truck driver and a home health CNA for many years. She loved to quilt, garden, read and thrift shop.

Affectionately named “Maw” by her first grandson, her outgoing personality easily won over members of her community where she was adopted as “Maw” by many. She fought a long, hard battle to continue celebrating and supporting her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home in Center.
