Jimmy “Bo” Norris Jones, 73, of Center, Texas, passed away on February 20, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on August 16, 1951, to the late Eugene Jones and Lela (Askew) Jones.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Mangum Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Warr officiating. Interment followed at Buckner Cemetery, Center, Texas.
Visitation was held prior to the service on February 22, 2025, beginning at 1 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home.
Jimmy was born and raised in Shelby County. He attended Center Schools. Jimmy worked over 25 years at Center Plywood earning his 25 yr. award. Jimmy loved fishing while he was able and taking care of his dogs. Later in life he enjoyed drawing. He would spend hours creating artwork.
He is survived by his sister, Louann Peeler and husband, Richard, of Silsbee; sister-in-law, Patsy Jones of Carthage; numerous nieces and nephews.
Bo is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lela Jones; sisters, Virginia Daugherty and Daisy Jones; brother, Elbert Jones; brother- in-law, James Daugherty; nephew, Michael Daugherty; and niece, Theresa Miles.
The family would like to especially thank, Billie Bailey, for the exceptional care given to Bo throughout the years. Also, a huge thank you to Focused Care of Center for your excellent care provided in the past few years he has been in your care.
