Hicks Mortuary is announcing the death of Mrs. Dorothy Mae McCollister (69) of Center, Texas. Mrs. McCollister was born to the late Earsel Gardner and Molene Mathews Gardner in Shelbyville, Texas on February 21, 1954. Mrs. McCollister died at a local hospital in Tyler, Texas on November 6, 2023.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Mae McCollister will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Bright Morning Star Baptist Church located at 623 Martin Luther King Drive in Center, Bishop Howard Cloudy, Eulogist. Visitation and viewing will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Bright Morning Star
Interment St John Cemetery in Center, Texas.
