Hicks Mortuary is announcing graveside service for Mr. Charles Christopher Goodwin (68). Graveside service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in the Africa Community. Mr. Goodwin was born on April 23, 1955, in Center, Texas to Eddie Ruth Goodwin and the late C.W. Randall. Charles passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at Pinegrove Nursing Facility. Pastor Marlin Cloudy officiated.
Charles is survived by: Son: Sekederick McCoy (Jarrien) and LaChadwrick Barnes of Houston, Texas. Mother: Eddie Ruth Goodwin of Center, Texas. Grandchildren: ShaKobie McCoy, Ebonie Williams McCoy and Jayce A. McCoy, Shaderick Barnes, Darell Barnes, and Asia Barnes Great-grandchildren: Khloe McCoy and Trey- Kash Mc-Coy Siblings: Sandra Goodwin, John Wayne Goodwin (Toleshia), Lolita Randall, Deborah Randall, Kenneth Randall, and Joyce Nelson (Minister James Nelson) Visitation was at Hicks Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, from the hours of 12:00 Noon - to 6:00 p.m.
