Sue Partin, 89, of Center, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Center.

Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at noon. Bro. Micah McArthur will officiate. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Born November 9, 1935, in Clarksville, Sue is the daughter of Benjamin Frank Crawford and Bernice Ford Crawford. She worked at Farmers State Bank for forty-five years and worked at Center Livestock Auction for sixty-two years. Sue was a member of the Chamber of Commerce for many years, where she served as President. She was a member of numerous banking organizations and Jackson Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynnelle Partin McElroy and Barry Hughes of Nacogdoches, Annette Partin Peters of Center; grandchildren, Will Hughes and wife, Sarahi, of Nacogdoches, Jake Hughes and wife, Jennifer, of Fort Worth, Carmen Whitaker and husband, Charles, of Center, Kimberly McElroy of Center, Colby Miller and wife, Wendi, of Nacogdoches, and Caleb Homer and wife, Lauren, of Central Heights; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sam, Henry, Claire, Devon, Laura, Alicia, Chayton, Asher, Kyla, Ben, Elaina, Stephen, Abigail, Daniel, and Susanna; brother, Nathan Crawford and wife, Lynne of McKinney; sisters-in-law, Margie Kilpatrick of San Antonio and Fran Partin of Tyler; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, George Strait.

Preceded in death by husband, Bear Kat Partin; parents, Benjamin Frank Crawford and Bernice Ford Crawford; sisters, Jacqueline Campbell and Frankye Simmons; and brothers, B.J. Crawford and Johnny Crawford.

Pallbearers were Robert Griffin, David Griffin, Doug Fuller, Barry Hughes, Colby Miller, and Caleb Homer. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Andrews, James Andrews, Charles Whitaker, past and present employees of Farmers State Bank, and cowboys associated with livestock auctions of East Texas.
