Gerald Corbell defeated J.R. “Jimmy” Faulkner in Tuesday’s Republican Primary run-off election for the office of sheriff of Shelby County. Corbell received 1,089 votes to Faulkner’s 891.
In the run-off for constable of precinct 3, Roy Cheatwood received 316 votes to defeat Scott Burkhalter who received 239 votes.
