  • ANOTHER CENTER AIRPLANE PILOT — Darrell Samford, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Samford of Center, was all smiles last week when he was handed his pilot’s license by his instructor Ray Sancton, also of Center. Samford was one of eleven students who took private lessons this summer from Sancton. Samford is a 1974 graduate of Center High School and plans to enter the Sparton School of Aviation at Tulsa, Oklahoma in the fall. Staffphoto
