About a year and a half ago now, several people who I respect came to me and asked me to accept the appointment to the office of Shelby County Attorney. As many of you know, I have been a civil litigator here for over 50 years. In those years there isn’t much in a courtroom I haven’t done or seen, with the exception of standing up and announcing, “Ready” for the State of Texas.
