• Clever Creek special study Clever Creek Baptist Church will host Evangelist Lee E. Thomas from Westlake, Louisiana, for a special study event, “Praying Effectively for the Lost.”
Beginning at 10 a.m. during the regular Sunday School hour and continuing through the morning worship hour normally at 10:55 a.m. After lunch, around 1 p.m., the study resumes concluding about 3 p.m. Books and other materials available. • 2023 Grill Fest barbecue cook-off The 2023 Grill Fest sanctioned barbecue cook-off is set for Friday, March 31 through Saturday, April 1 at the Shelby County Expo Center/ Rodeo Arena. The public is invited to attend and sample tastings of barbecue at cook team stations as well as enjoy the fun activities. Entry is free. Registration is open until the day of the event. The fee now through March 17 is $150 per team. After March 17, the fee is $200.
