On Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, Valerie Blanche Goodwin, peacefully transitioned in her adopted hometown of Houston, Texas. She was born August 6, 1959, in Center, Texas to the late Blanchey Faye Goodwin. She is an alumni of Center High School, class of '77.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Blanchey Goodwin.
Valerie leaves her loved ones to cherish her memory: a sister, Sonja Betts (Carl) of Palm Bay, Fla., and brother, Patrick Goodwin of Stockton. Calif.; her nephews, Anthony J. Wilson of N. Richland Hills, Texas, and Avery P. Goodwin of Sacramento, Calif.; her great niece Jayla A. Wilson of N. Richland Hills, Texas; an Aunt Clara Johnson and Uncle Leonard Goodwin (Wilda) all of Houston, Texas.
