Child passenger safety technician training is coming to Center February 21-23. Statistics show most car seats are used incorrectly. Certified technicians can:
• Provide education on child passenger safety to the community
• Help parents with their child safety seat installations • Be a technician at a car seat checkup event The course is especially useful to law enforcement, fire fighters, nurses and EMS staff, who often have to contend with the tragic results of non-use and misuse of child safety seats.
A $95 fee is payable online to Safe Kids. Fee includes 2 years of certification and the training manual. Training will be 3 days long.
Sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Passenger Safety & KidSafe Initiatives in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation Lufkin District. Please note that appropriate COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
