Not long ago my fiveyear- old granddaughter was helping me clean up and she wanted to dust off some of the old records that I had put away in a box.

We got up this morning with temperatures in the low 20s, slightly chilly for this Arizona gal’s bones. But, with a cup of hot coffee, a roaring fire in the fireplace, and my favorite soft and fuzzy “wobie” blanket wrapped around me, life is good.

Are you a real down-to-earth type person?

As a young lad, I recall my parents, Alice and Cecil, discussing certain people’s traits. I can remember that they often described someone as “down-to-earth.” The phrase, to me, meant that the person so described was very nice. I still hear this said even today as people may describe others.
