Just call it a big bass beatdown.What better way to recap a four-day fishing derby where the Top 10 anglers wound up cracking the 100-pound mark on 20 fish and everyone earned a coveted Century Belt for their trophy case?
The Center VFW Post 8904 held its 2025 Victory in Europe program on May 8 in rememberance of the Allied victory over Germany at the end of WWII in 1945. Program attendees were(l-r): Post Chaplain Richard Lundie, Auxiliary member Linda Lundie, Auxiliary President Mary Fausett, Auxiliary Treasurer Theresa Hume, citizen Terry Polly, Post life member Sean Martin, Post Quartermaster Mary Roberts, Post Commander Derrick Roberts and Post Adjutant Larry Hume (not pictured). The Center VFW Post 8904 held its 2025 Victory in Europe program on May 8 in rememberance of the Allied victory over Germany at the end of WWII in 1945.
Gabriel Lamas celebrates along with his fellow classmates as they achieve one of the significant milestones of a young person’s life at their Center High School graduation ceremony held last Friday night. Tenaha High School also held their graduation that night, while Shelbyville, Timpson and Joaquin will hold theirs this Friday. Rusty Wilson | Light and Champion
