Following a shooting incident in Tenaha that happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, District Attorney Karren Price released the following statement: “A 911 call came in sometime around 8:30. I received a call shortly thereafter at about 8:45.

The 49th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival kicks off today with the official opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Stage tent. Newly-crowned East Texas Poultry Festival Queen Payton McGee will be joined by the rest of the Festival Court as she cuts the feathers to start the festivities.
