Taste of the Holidays

Timpson Christmas parade lights up square

Timpson enjoyed having its 2025 Lighted Christmas parade last week, Sunday, Dec. 7. There was a large turnout of spectators and a wonderful parade and parade entries that put all of our community in the Christmas spirit.

Body found near Possum Trot area

On the morning of Monday, Dec. 15, it was reported by a caller to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that a body was seen near the front of a Possum Trot area house. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office personnel, along with District Attorney Karren Price, responded to the scene.

Avian influenza detected in Shelby County poultry flock

The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) and the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) confirmed the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a commercial flock (poultry) in Shelby County, Texas.

Board hears reports on district’s performance
