Santa Claus was visited by two young patrons when he stopped by Shelby Savings Bank on Monday. Santa was on site to take pictures and collect as many last minute gift wishes as he could before he headed back north to fill his sleigh for his annual Christmas Eve delivery run.

The Texas Comptroller’s office reported $796,641,593.74 was returned to taxing entities across the state on sales taxes collected for the month of September. That was up 5.66 percent from the $753,965,181.87 collected in 2024. Total payments so far in 2025 are $8,296,094,299.93, a 4.
