Clever Creek Baptist Church at 199 CR 1042 at FM 417 West in Center will host Evangelist Dwayne Williams, who is known as “the Texas Teddy Bear” from Woden, Texas, for a special gospel concert, singing and preaching event on Friday, March 13, 2026. Supper for all will be served at 6 pm.

Early voting for the upcoming primary will end this week with regular voting taking place Tuesday, March 3. Early voting for the primary is being held at the Center Community House until 7:00 p.m. today and 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27.Voting hours on Tuesday will also be from 7:00 a.m.

Calling for a general election, insurance and considering bids for various services topped the Tuesday, Feb. 17 meeting of the Timpson city council.The council approved a notice to notify voters of the time, date and location of a general election to be held May 2.

National FFA Week celebrations planned by Center FFA students

Center FFA is getting ready to celebrate National FFA Week Feb 21 - 28. CHS superintendent Jake Henson signed the FFA Week Proclamation, while CHS Principal Heath Hagler and CHS FFA members looked on. Since 1948, National FFA has recognized the impact of agriculture to our country.
