The Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library held an Open House last week to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. The library made the move to its current building in November of 1974 from its former location on Pecan Street.

During a special meeting of the Shelby County Commissioners Court on Feb. 19, the court considered a software update for county and district court proceedings and a road agreement with the USDA Forest Service.

Overflow at McBride Operating’s Waskom facility spills onto the ground. The facility has been cited numerous times leading to its permit renewal application being initially denied.
