Sometimes, we just do funny things, don’t we? My dad was one of those kinds of people.He was always making us laugh at something he did, or something that caught his fancy.One of the greatest gifts he could have taught us was to learn to laugh at ourselves.

VFW honors Desert Storm veterans

VFW Post 8904 held a wreath-placing ceremony at the veterans’ memorial on the historic Shelby County courthouse courtyard on Friday, Feb. 28 to honor those who served in Operation Desert Storm. Operation Desert Storm lasted from Jan. 16, 1991 to Feb. 28, 1991 and cost the lives of 148 Americans.
