East Texas CDL school established in Pineland

U.S. Representative Nathaniel Moran announced $1.1 million in federal funding for Pineland Commercial Driving Academy to establish a commercial driving training facility that will serve the East Texas region.
Climate Closet is located 171 Loop 500 near the intersection with Highway 7 East. The facility features 56 climate controlled units ranging in size from 8x8 to 15x12, including 10x15 and 10x20 walkthrough units. They also have security camera monitoring, keypad entry and an online registration system. Climate Closet can be reached at www.theclimatecloset.com or at 936-598-7800. Local foundation striving to raise vocational opportunity awareness

The John Dean Windham Civic Center on Tuesday was the site of an effort by the Bone Hill Foundation to raise local student’s awareness of the vocational opportunities available to them, outside of college attendance.
