According to the Sabine Parish Sheriff ’s Office, a boating incident shortly before noon Tuesday, May 28, resulting in the death of two people.
Initial information was a fishing barge capsized in the Pirates Cove area of Toledo Bend Lake with six people on the barge. Four reportedly swam to safety, and two allegedly drowned. They were located and recovered.
