TAGHS to hold Fire Prevention Month Meeting with Timpson VFD

Because October is widely observed as Fire Prevention Month, Jason Samford, Training and Safety Officer for Timpson Volunteer Fire Department, has agreed to address Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society at its October meeting on October 18 at 2:00 p.m.in the Timpson Public Library annex. 

Included in his presentation will be information on how the department functions as an organization and the rules and regulations under which it operates. Many of us have been told  insurance rates in our area are impacted by the high number of house fires in our area. Mr. Samford has been asked to provide information on how we can protect our homes from fire.  This is particularly important at this time of year as people begin to heat their homes and decorate for Christmas.

We urge the public to attend and learn more about Timpson Fire Department. Although we pray we never need to call them, it is a comfort to know they are there if we do.
