Shelby County Outreach Ministries Encourages Giving Back on Giving Tuesday

Shelby County Outreach Ministries is excited to participate in Giving Tuesday 2023, a global generosity movement that encourages people to donate to charitable causes and organizations. Giving Tuesday falls on November 28, 2023, and serves as an important reminder to be charitable amidst shopping-centric holiday season events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Shelby County Outreach Ministries has been serving Shelby County for over 26 years. Their mission is to feed the hungry and assist the needy in Shelby County. Their motto is,“Striving to be the hands and heart of Christ in our community." 

Shelby County Outreach Ministries operates off donations from the community and is grateful for the support they receive.  "We have seen a growing number of clients needing our assistance.  Last month, we issued over 400 emergency food boxes to individuals and their families.  We have also seen an increase in clients needing assistance with emergency utilities, doctor visits, homelessness, medications, and more.  Our Senior programs serve over 150 seniors with many on a waiting list."
