  • NO MORE PENNY PARKING METERS AT CENTER — Hamp Blythe, Center City Secretary, helped the city crew change over the parking meters around the square last week so that the meters will now take only nickels, dimes and quarters. Blythe explained that the hour parking remains the same — a nickel for an hour and a dime for two hours as before. Since pennies are scarce and the meters were becoming worn the city decided to make the change at this time. Staffphoto
