NextGen to place 3,000 9/11 Memorial Flags Sponsored by the Shelby County Republican Party

Next month marks the 22nd Anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Across the United States; cities, towns, communities large and small and college campuses have been honoring the nearly 3,000 victims of this horrible tragedy by placing 3,000 flags in public spaces. On Thursday, September 7, the Next Gen group, along with area Junior Chamber of Commerce students will place 3,000 on the historic courthouse lawn. Next Gen (Next Generation) is organized to bring together the talents and insights of emerging young professionals in Shelby County. The September 11th attacks were an unimaginable tragedy. But we also saw, and continue to see uncommon valor, service, courage and the unbreakable bond we Americans share.

The flags will be placed on the historic Courthouse lawn on Thursday, September 7 at 5:30 p.m. and will remain there throughout the weekend.
