    Discussion of the proposed 2024 tax rate and 2024-25 county budget topped the Aug. 21 special meeting of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court. The court set the 2024 proposed tax rate at .6832, with .6164 going to the general fund and .0668 to the special road and bridge fund. The 2023 rate was .5965.
