Center 11U takes 2nd at Dixie Youth Regional World Series

Center’s 11U team took 2nd place in the 2023 Dixie Youth Regional World Series, hosted at the Center Baseball Complex Noon Lions Club Fields at Center Park this year. The four-day-long tournament started on Wednesday, July 19 and ended on Sunday July 23.

Fifty teams traveled from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Georgia. According to Dixie Youth Baseball (DYB), this year’s World Series consisted of 800 players and coaches along with their families.

The divisions hosted were t-ball (5-6 year-old), 6U Coach Pitch, 7U Coach Pitch, 9U and 11U. Center had a host team in each division to represent the city; Shelby County 6U, 7U, 9U and 11U. Center 11U took 2nd place (runner up) in the DYB World Series, and 7U and 6U placed in the final four.
