Organizers of the fundraising event prepare BBQ chicken plates for Battle of the Badges.
Battle of the Badges, a community wide blood drive, is back for year 3 at the Center Community House Friday, July 21, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Center Community House is located at 425 San Augustine Street in Center. “Come save lives, support your local law enforcement and enjoy some good food!”
In addition to the blood drive, a BBQ chicken fundraiser to support CPD Ladies Auxiliary’s Scholarship Fund /Operation Blue Santa are available for $10. The BBQ chicken plates include chicken leg quarters, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and a drink. MAMA ROSE ITALIAN ICE is also set up at the fundraising event, with several flavors of her sweet frozen treats.
Inside the Center Community House is where you can donate to The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center for regular whole blood or Automation (plasma, platelets.) Every successful donor receives a $20 E-Gift Card to the store of their choice, and each attempted donor is entered into a raffle for door prizes.
A double raffle drawing for; one Guided Fishing Trip at Crystal Beach ($350 value) and one Savage 300 Blakout Bolt Action Gun ($300 value) are also being raffled. You can purchase raffle tickets at the fundraising event.
